LA’s Culture Collide Announces Lineup And Details For October Festival

Returning to Los Angeles and San Francisco this October is CULTURE COLLIDE–the quintessential music, arts and industry experience–which celebrates creative curiosity as multiple venues play host to dozens of established and on-the-rise bands from around the world for multiple days of musical discovery.  Newly added talent for CULTURE COLLIDE 2015 in Los Angeles includes The Album Leaf, Caught a Ghost, Maudlin Strangers, Tuka, Avaberee, Diamente Electrico, Green Gerry, Hotel for Strangers, Enola Fall, LFNT, Panda Elliot, Crooked Colours and more to join previously announced headliners LadyHawke (NZ), Ash (UK) and The Juan Maclean (U.S.) as well as over 60 more artists.

For the first time in the festival’s history, wristbands for single days are now available via TicketFly for $20.00. The wristband will allow access into allCULTURE COLLIDE venues for that particular day. On Saturday, October 10CULTURE COLLIDE will play host to a massive international record fair in cooperation with Independent Label Marketfeaturing over 20 record labels including 100% SilkAnchor Eighty Four,Anticon, Burger, Cold Busted, Delicious Vinyl, Everloving, Friends of Friends, Hit City USA, IAMSOUND, Iheartcomix, Innovative Leisure, Last Gang Records, Ninja Tune, Not Not Fun, Now Again, Stones Throw,Saddle Creek, Sargent House, Light In The Attic and more.
CULTURE COLLIDE’s annual Creative Summit–which features music industry panels focused on music and media from around the world–will take place on Friday, October 9 at Taix Restaurant (1911 Sunset Blvd. L.A., CA 90026). The 2015 CULTURE COLLIDE Creative Summit will be led The Guardian’s U.S. commissioning editor Lanre Bakare (pronounced LAN-RA).The artist-and industry-led forum will discuss and examine exciting trends in music, opportunities for international artists in the U.S., the future of music distribution and other breaking topics.
Returning to the festival this year will be the Aussie BBQ hosted by Sounds Australia, featuring some of the best Australian bands and solo acts. This will take place at the Taix Champagne Room on Saturday, October 10.
In another first for 2015, CULTURE COLLIDE has partnered with the Modern Sky Festival to bring a very special night of music from China to the Regent Theatre (448 South Main St. L.A., CA 90013) on Friday October 9. The line-up includes four acts that represent the diversity of the Beijing’s indie rock scene: SONG DONGYE 宋冬野, NEW PANTS 裤子乐队, HEDGEHOG 刺猬乐队and MISERABLE FAITH 痛仰乐队. Presented by CULTURE COLLIDE, Modern Sky is a separately ticketed event that can be purchased here.
